🏔️ Summary: This is Part 2 of PACE’s PFAS presentation series, focusing on specific PFAS regulatory updates and sampling protocols. During this presentation, attendees will learn and discuss the following topics: a recap of PFAS, 2026 federal and state regulatory updates, restrictive PFAS sampling guidance due to cross-contamination concerns, and findings from a large study on PFAS detection in field quality control (QC) samples.

💵 Cost: $20 for members | $25 for non-members | $10 for students

✍️ Membership Due Increase

AEG membership dues will increase effective October 1, 2026, for the 2027 membership year. The increase is intended to offset rising costs and maintain member benefits, including publications, professional development opportunities, and the Annual Meeting.

The Board of Directors also plans to invest in website updates, improved membership software, and modernized resources. Future annual increases are being considered to help avoid larger increases every four to six years.

Diversity Field Trips Grant:

Established by Phyllis and Richard Steckel, this grant supports Earth Science or STEM teachers working primarily with Black, Hispanic/Latino/a, Pacific Islander, and/or American Indian/Alaskan Native students.
