Epic Resorts bought Hidden Valley so a lot of stuff got changed around and "group deals on tickets" doesn't seem like much of a deal. Group pricing is $34 per person and all tickets must be paid for 5 days before the event on 1 card (can't be bought separately by people beforehand). $34 times twenty five or more people does get hefty....
Furthermore, on the day of the event, all of the tickets will be handed to one person to distribute. I think it would be a hassle to 1) hunt everyone down beforehand for money 2) get everyone in one group to hand out tickets (especially if it's really busy that day) and 3) if people need to back out last minute, the resort won't refund.
Here is the kicker: Tube pricing without the "discount" is $37 bucks AND the tickets can be bought individually ahead of time online. Logistically and personally speaking, I would say that it will be tremendously easier if we just tell people to order their tickets ahead of time for the 12:00 tubing spot that day and just have them regularly RSVP on the chapter's website so we know who is coming. The only downside to this is that I have no idea what the limit is on tubing tickets so if people drag their feet, they may get sold out. On the other hand, considering this is Epic Resorts we are talking about, they want to make as much money as they can...
My proposed update to the event: Tell people to buy their tickets ahead of time (and sooner rather then later) online for the 12:00-2:00 polar plunge (tube) session on February 7th via the resort website
